Job Offer Negotiation Simulation — UAE Context
A role-based exercise in negotiation strategy, HR management, and employment relations

Founded in 2019 by Raj Anupam and Kayavan Shah — two engineering graduates from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gujarat — Cargar EV set out to solve India's EV charging infrastructure gap in mid-tier cities. Beginning under a university incubation centre, the company pioneered Asia's first portable solar EV charging space and the world's first off-grid portable charging machine, operating under the tagline You drive, we charge. Over five years of organic growth, Cargar built a 120-strong team, forged strategic partnerships with Mercedes-Benz India R&D, HPCL and AHA Solar Technologies, and secured backing from the Tata Endowment. By 2025, the company had expanded into the UAE and was actively navigating its next strategic challenge: scaling its organisation — structure, leadership and HR practices — to match the pace of its product innovation.

You will negotiate either as Avery (HR Manager, Cargar UAE) or Jordan (Job Candidate). The simulation assigns you the opposite role as your counterpart.
Reaching an agreement is not enough. Your aim is to reach a deal that maximises your role's hidden point score. Strategy matters.
Every negotiation component carries confidential points. You will not see your counterpart's priorities. Read every response carefully.
The simulation runs 35–45 minutes. Quick, confident decisions earn time bonuses. Excessive hesitation incurs a penalty.
You may defer a component and return to it. Permanently discarding a component carries a score penalty proportional to its importance.
On conclusion, you will sign a simulation employment contract and receive a detailed PDF performance report with reflection questions.
